A Little About Me
Hey there! I'm Henok, a software engineer who loves turning ideas into reality through code. Currently, I'm pursuing my Master's in Software Engineering at the University of Calgary, building upon my Computer Science background from the University of Lethbridge.
During the day, I work as an IT Analyst at Alberta Health Services, where I help create solutions that make a real difference in healthcare. When I'm not at AHS, you'll find me working on freelance web projects — it's my way of staying creative and learning new things.
I believe in keeping things simple and effective. Whether it's writing clean code or solving complex problems, I enjoy finding straightforward solutions that work well for everyone. I'm always excited to learn new technologies and collaborate with others who share the same passion.

MailBott Chrome Extension
A Chrome extension that connects to Gmail, identifies emails needing follow-up, and uses an AI-powered Python FastAPI backend (Docker) to draft or send replies, all within a modern UI.
ACMEPLEX Movies
A comprehensive movie ticket reservation system built with React and Spring Boot. Features include seat selection, ticket booking, and secure payment processing.
Mokonisa Coffee PLC
Marketing site for an Ethiopian coffee exporter, built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS to highlight premium beans and services.
ANG Consultant PMS
Internal dashboard that gives ANG Consultants real-time insight into project status, team workloads, and automated reporting.
